Job Details
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Dermatology Department, with responsibility for managing a small team of nurses. The role is diverse, encompassing both chronic and acute inflammatory conditions and skin cancer management. Applicants must have the ability to work autonomously, but also within the multidisciplinary team, and know when to seek advice. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are essential, alongside knowledge of evidence-based practice in Dermatology. Applicants require 5 years post-qualifying experience, to include at least 3 years within Dermatology. A degree in a health related subject is essential, with a willingness to work towards Level 7 studies. NMC V300 Nurse Independent and Supplementary Prescribing qualification is desirable, however the opportunity to achieve this qualification locally will be available. Qualifications in skin surgery, phototherapy and photo dynamic therapy would be an advantage.

In making an application for this role, you should note that the Government of Jersey is in the process of restructuring to modernise how we deliver public services. As we work to ensure we have the right structure for the future, we will also be reviewing our (HR) people policies and total reward structures (pay and other terms and conditions) to provide parity across all pay groups.
Company
Covering an area of 45 square miles and with a resident population just over 100,000, Jersey is the largest and most southerly of the Channel Islands. And our Health and Social Services aim to improve the health and wellbeing of Islanders through the delivery of high quality, person focused health and social care.
To meet these goals, our staff are working with our voluntary, community and independent sector partners, including those in Primary Care, to continue to transform and develop services in line with our vision as described in ‘A New Way Forward for Health and Social Care’.
Following a period of service redesign and significant investment, we now need experienced and motivated people to help us realise our collective ambition and play an active part in delivering within our community mental health teams.
Jersey is an island community built on care and it’s why we look out for, and after one another so well. This is your chance to make the move, start a new adventure and rediscover why you love what you do, and who you are. This is care rediscovered.
