Theatre Practitioner – Recovery
Hours: Part-Time, Full time & Flexible working options

Salary: Up to £33k depending on experience plus Company benefits

Patient care is consultant led, but we have a team of Resident Medical Officers based on the unit 24/7 and we are also supported by a critical care outreach team who support deteriorating patients.

What we’re looking for

As a Theatre Practitioner - Recovery, you will responsible for the total nursing care of individual patients within the recovery area and ensure recovery criteria is adhered to before discharging patients. In addition to this, you will also actively contribute to the maintenance of an environment that is conducive to the delivery and promotion of a high standard of patient care.

We have a number of part-time, full time and flexible working roles available, the attractive salary will be competitive , which will of course be dependent upon experience.  We’re also really pleased to be able to offer some rotational posts, working across The Christie Private Care and our hospital in Wilmslow.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.
  • Adhere to the procedures for the use of supplies, ordering requirements for the Department as directed by line manager
  • Maintain the safe custody, handling of drugs in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Participate in the reporting of incidents and comply with any ensuing investigations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Registered Nurse or ODP
  • Extensive experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Cancer Care
