Job Details
At Nuffield Health we have a profound respect for the faith that people invest in us. We try to earn this by never deviating from our commitment to putting people first. Our culture focuses on the things which probably brought you into nursing; care, compassion and respect for others - patients and colleagues alike. We believe in empowering our staff to do what is in the patient's best interest.
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Oncology Nurse to join our Oncology department.
You will be responsible for delivering quality nursing care in line with hospital standards, current government and N.I.C.E guidelines for patients requiring cytotoxic chemotherapy, through assessment of patient's needs, implementation of care and evaluation of progress and clinical outcome.
You will ensure appropriate patient and family information, advice and support is available to individuals requiring cytotoxic chemotherapy.
You will have the time to put patients first - our reputation depends upon it.
You'll enjoy working in an innovative, clean, modern working environment, while benefiting from support and training opportunities, plus the time and nurse-patient ratio that ensures the highest standards of care.
The person
To succeed as an Oncology Nurse, you will need;
Ideally have completed the UKONS passport or hold a qualification in the safe administration of chemotherapy (however we are also keen to develop our own and would be more than willing to support a trainee in the safe administration of chemotherapy)
Be able to have cannulation / venepuncture skills and be able to access CVAD's.
