ITU Ward Manager Location – The Wellington Hospital, North London Salary – Competitive experience + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)About the Role As the ITU Ward Manager, you will clinically support the critical care department to promote and ensure that outstanding patient care is always provided. As ITU Manager, you will take responsibility to lead the department under the direction of the Intensive care Matron and be responsible for the deployment, supervision and mentoring of staff within the clinical area supporting the hospital management team in providing clinical leadership.As the ITU Ward Manager, you will have budgetary responsibility for the ward and ensure that patient safety and outstanding patient experience is maintained throughout the unit, while adhering to clinical governance and CQC standards and regulations.This post is a developmental post for someone who aspires to develop into an ITU Matron or Head of Nursing position in the future.Skills and Experience
  • Registered General Nursing qualification with a post-graduate Intensive Care qualification is essential
  • Advanced Life Support Provider Qualification is highly desirable
  • Previous experience of leading and developing a team
  • A strong understanding of clinical governance and quality and risk in regards to patient safety.
