At Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital, we work with leading medical Consultants to provide first-class treatments and high standards of care for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of medical and surgical conditions using the latest facilities and technology. We take pride in delivering high standards of patient care to both private patients and the NHS. Our facilities include 44 purpose built en-suite rooms, 3 operating theatres plus 1 endoscopy theatre. Other facilities include physiotherapy and a diagnostic department. We are located in Woodingdean, on the east side of Brighton with easy access by rail and road, including free parking.

The opportunity
As our CNS you will be working autonomously alongside other clinicians to ensure that patients receive high quality and appropriate specialist care, information, and support.
The person
To succeed as a CNS you will need:
Previous knowledge and practical experience of caring for patients with spinal conditions within a surgical setting would be required.
A post registration course in Spinal Cord Injuries or evident attendance at relevant study sessions in this area would also be required for this role.
Excellent communication skills
The successful candidate would be expected to provide teaching and guidance for staff as well as patients regarding specific aspects of their spinal surgery.
Involvement in timely discharge planning and appropriate Nurse-led discharges are required for this position.
