As part of service reconfigurations, our Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit are in an exciting position to expand their workforces and offer exciting opportunities for Band 5 Nurses to join our friendly and welcoming teams.

From seeing patients straight from the GP to being part of a strong MDT with lots of opportunity to work autonomously, these departments have a lot to offer you.

Emergency Department:

Our Award-winning Emergency Department (HSJ and BMJ) is a tertiary cardiac centre and we care for patients from across the South West of England and beyond. You will get to work in a busy city centre department with a talented multi-disciplinary team, whilst always able to have opportunities for further training, research roles and promotion. Wellbeing and your development is our priority and we want you to join our forward-thinking and innovative team, which is always the birthplace of the ‘Patient Safety checklist’.

Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and Medical Short Stay:

Working closely with ED you will admit a variety of patients for assessment and treatment before they move on to their appropriate ward.

In AMU you will become an expert in Medical Admissions working alongside our Acute physicians and Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
