ABOUT THE ROLE
We''re looking for a Clinical Development Nurse to lead, support and continuously improve clinical governance and quality of care for our residents. This opportunity will oversee nursing homes & three residential homes in South Wales, Shropshire, Oswestry, Ludlow & Lichfield.

This role would suit an individual with practice nursing experience as strong and up-to-date clinical practice is essential. As an RGN, you will have extensive experience of residents/patient care and be extremely confident in managing chronic diseases (diabetes or asthma), wound dressings & phlebotomy. We have a complex care home in this region with complex younger persons and this service utilises skills such as; tracheostomy, Enteral Feeding Tubes and Urethral and Suprapubic Catheters.

In this role, you’ll review and support the performance of every home in your region to ensure its performing to the highest clinical standards. Every month, you’ll review the clinical governance database and our KPIs and analyse the results. You will then identify practical strategies to make sure we’re meeting each and every regulation – and improving the care we deliver, too.

Working closely with the Regional Director, improvement specialists and senior clinical staff in each home, you’ll plan and help implement key actions to address any issues and keep improving standards month in, month out. Whether you’re organising new training, helping attract key senior clinical staff, or delivering clinical investigations, your leadership skills and passion for delivering the best will shine through.

ABOUT YOU
To join us, you’ll need to be equipped with a current NMC registration, RN (General) and evidence of continued professional development. An experienced nurse, you’ve worked in a care home environment, and as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly-qualified nurses. You also have a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements. Combining a sharp analytical mind with the ability to share knowledge, build relationships, and deliver on your action plans, your leadership will deliver impressive results.

REWARDS PACKAGE
As well as a competitive salary, Barchester offers one of the best rewards packages in the care sector. Your generous benefits would include:

• Company car, mobile phone and laptop
• Free learning and development
• Automatic enrolment into our profit share scheme
• A range of holiday, retail and leisure discounts
• Nurse Mentor and Refer a Friend bonus schemes
• Offer to pay Tier 2 visa application fee for eligible nurses*
