Oncology Treatment Suite Staff Nurse 

Hours: 37.5hrs pw (Mon-Fri flexibility required to cover opening hours of 8am-8pm) Fixed Term Contract to cover Mat Leave 

Location: LOC @ Harley Street 

Salary: £33,000-£37,255 (Dependent on skills & experience) + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development) 

About The Role 

We have a brilliant opportunity for an Oncology Outpatients Staff Nurse based at The LOC. The role will play a vital role in delivering on expert patient care. 

As Staff Nurse for our oncology Treatment Suite, you will be responsible for working in a supporting experienced nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care to ensure that patients are cared for in a safe, caring and comfortable environment. This will include meeting their medical, physical and emotional needs by effectively communicating with the patient and their families.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Participate in individual care needs of patients and develop appropriate care plans to implement and evaluate 

  • Monitor patient care and interventions appropriately 

  • Recognise deterioration in patients’ condition at an early stage, (including neutropenic patients) Refer to the senior nurse and medical team appropriately 

  • Initiate appropriate actions to isolate patients when required 

  • Liaise with multi-disciplinary team (MDT) 

  • Maintain ward area in stocked items, equipment and waste to maintain a clean and safe environment 

Skills & Experience 

  • NMC Registered nurse, with post qualification 

  • NHS or Private experience 

  • Intravenous chemotherapy administration experience. 

  • Post registration experience within oncology setting or equivalent 

  • Clinical skills in venepuncture, cannulation and the administration of intravenous drugs
