The Community Adult Mental Health Team is based in Newmarket Hospital and are looking to recruit passionate and good-humoured registered Nurse to work as part of our dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinary community team. We are proud of our proven track record of supporting and developing our colleagues both experienced and newly qualified to fulfil their career potential. 

We are especially looking to develop Band 5 nurses on their career path to a Band 6 by putting an excellent development plan in place.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for Registered Mental health Nurses who are committed to deliver effective medical and therapeutic intervention to our Service User.  We are in search of colleagues who believe in the recovery principles, therapeutically minded in their approaches and place the needs of the Service User at the heart of the care.

You will need to be able to display skills in flexible communication and the desire to go the extra mile for the Service Users who are under the team’s care.

We expect the highest standards of clinical work, a commitment to clinical governance, a supportive attitude towards your colleagues, to be an advocate for service users and a continuous drive for improvement.

We have Specialist Nurses, Nurse Consultant and Nurse Prescribers as well as Matrons and Practice Education Facilitators.  We employ Mental Health Nurses and also Registered Nurses who have physical health skills but an interest and passion for Mental Health Nursing.

Our nursing teams are compliments by a wide variety of roles such as Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers as well as Psychologists.  All play a vital role and are valued members of our teams.
