We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our Crisis Assessment and Intensive Support Team (CAIST) based in West Norfolk, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. The service works with children and young people under the age of 18. CAIST provides specialist mental health crisis interventions and treatment, including families/guardians and other relevant agencies.

As part of CAIST you will assess children and young people who attend the local acute hospital in mental health crisis. The CAIST team also provides intensive support to enable families/guardians to assist the child/young person in crisis, promoting recovery and avoiding unnecessary admission to hospital.

 Main duties of the job

The team works across the hours of 8am to 8pm 7 days a week to provide quick access to support for young people attending local hospitals.
