St Gabriel’s is a thriving independent day school in Newbury, Berkshire, offering an innovative and inspiring education to children from the age of 6 months to 18 years.

To start during March 2021, they are seeking a registered nurse to run their medical room where the work is varied and rewarding.  The School Nurse takes an active part in school life and is responsible for the efficient operation of the medical room, ensuring that pupils, staff and visitors to the school are provided with professional and compassionate medical care and first aid.

Liaising with the Principal and senior management, the School Nurse takes a pro-active role in the School’s response to public health matters such as Covid-19. This includes providing advice, drafting communications, updating relevant medical policies and protocols as required in line with government guidelines and related school policy documents.

Pastoral care of pupils is another key area of responsibility. The School Nurse provides a kind, listening, holistic service to all pupils, respecting individuality and confidentiality.
