School Nurse – Central London

Our client, a new independent school which opened in September 2015 at 43-45 Bedford Square is the sister school of its prestigious Paris namesake, the largest independent school in France.

They are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and conscientious School Nurse for March 2021. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week during term time to cater for the needs of their pupils. Working hours will be distributed between 8.30am and 5.00pm.

The successful candidate will be a registered Nurse and will be able to provide a high standard of medical and pastoral care to pupils on a daily basis within the NMC guidelines.

The successful candidate will have experience of school nursing and/or A&E/paediatric/adolescent health nursing and the ability and sufficient level of experience to work autonomously without medical back up on site. She/he must have excellent interpersonal, and organisational skills.

In addition, they will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing health visits and consultations for the pupils, including in-school vaccinations.

The successful candidate should also be prepared to take on administrative and ad-hoc support as required by the School. Currently this includes working with Senior Management to ensure the smooth roll-out of our staff and pupil Covid testing programme.

Knowledge of French would be an advantage, but is not a requirement.
