The opportunity


You will be the head of your own department, ensuring that our patients get the best possible treatment and care.

As a Clinical Services Manager you will:

  • Lead a team of multidisciplinary clinicians delivering exceptional care in the imaging, outpatient, paediatric and performance locations.

  • Drive a strong patient safety culture throughout the department, encouraging staff to call out and report safety concerns.

  • Promote effective clinical risk management within the department - undertaking risk assessments and investigations, developing mitigation and escalation plans and maintaining the departmental risk register.

  • Proactively identify and manage departmental safety issues and risks in accordance with regulation.

  • Ensure that effective local governance is in place throughout the department thereby promoting a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff (in full compliance with all policies and procedures).

  • Maintain their own work profile to ensure revalidation standards are met, and assist junior registered staff in achieving revalidation.

  • Contribute and participate in the development of nurses and nursing practice across the facility through leading clinical projects, and supporting training.

  • Conduct high quality and timely incident investigations, escalating where necessary and sharing lessons learned.

  • Act as the departmental lead for safeguarding, addressing and escalating concerns.


The person

To succeed as a Clinical Services Manager you will:

  • Need a strong clinical and managerial background:

  • Responsible for the departmental budget

  • Registered clinical practitioner with the appropriate governing body (NMC/HCPC)

  • Degree, postgraduate/post-registration training and qualifications

  • Significant, post-registration experience

  • Leadership and people management experience in a clinical environment

  • Act within the Professional Bodies Code of Practice

Salary - £47,000 to £52,000 per annum (Dependant On Experience)
