Director of Clinical Operations

We are actively recruiting for a Director of Clinical Operations on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, commencing April / May 2021. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the Senior Management Corporate team at HCA Healthcare UK, the UK’s leading private patient healthcare provider and specialists in hospital complex care.

  • Contract: Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity leave- April/May 2021 Start
  • Salary and rewards:  Attractive salary, dependent upon skills and experience.
  • Private medical healthcare insurance, contributory pension, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, which increases with years of service, or optional buy more incentives plans.
  • Location: Cavendish Square, London, W1G. (May require inter HCA hospital site travel)
  • Reporting to: Chief Nursing Executive
  • Direct reporting line to these roles, X5;  Patient experience, nursing practice and operations, regulation and accreditation and clinical operations specialists.

The Impact you will have

The Director of Clinical Operations is a high profile and sought after position to which leads the clinical operation strategy and , supports and advises , counsel, and the Senior Management Executive Leadership teams to embed the clinical operational strategy in the overall Clinical Strategy for the business. Being a natural value-add resource to deliver the clinical vision, the candidate must manage managing matrix relationships as the key interface for and work across functions and hospitals. cross-functional initiatives across the hospital facilities.

The role’s key deliverables are the standardising of clinical operations and helping drive the best clinical outcomes across departments. It focuses on driving patient experience, nursing best practice, clinical pathways, and the effective deployment of clinical initiatives.

You will be promoting a culture of patient safety, clinical effectiveness and continuously striving consistently for an excellent patient’s experience, that you can associate with our outstanding CQC ratings.

This role is highly valued, recognised for harmonising all clinical operations. Using influential leadership skills steering focus towards best clinical outcomes enhances and increases clinical role development, patient experience, nursing best practice, clinical pathways, and the effective deployment of clinical initiatives.

Successful Applicants will need to demonstrate;

  • Postgrad qualifications which may be related to leadership, operational delivery, program management, patient experience
  • A significant experience at a managerial level, in an acute healthcare sector, desirably in private healthcare,
  • Experience in developing and implementing a business-wide strategy and governance processes and knowledge of national clinical operations agenda.
  • Uncompromising passion concerning providing outstanding patient care. Ability to analyse and present deliverable information to key stakeholder groups at all seniority levels to advise and assist in delivering the clinical and nursing strategy.
  • Making a recommendation on managing improvements in performance objectives and ensuring actions are delivered with purpose with practical interpersonal skills, purposefulness
  • Competent IT skills
