Sister/Charge Nurse - Bristol - £36,000 - Full-time

The Role

At Nuffield Health, you will discover nursing as it should be. You will have more time to care and get to know the people who are your patients, as you help them through difficult times. As a Sister / Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are provided and;

  • Support the ward manager in the efficient running of the ward.
  • Co-ordinate activity and be instrumental to making sure patients receive seamless, personalised care.
  • Have the privilege of working directly with consultants, who are experts in their field.
  • Use your knowledge and skills in assessment, care planning and delivery to make a valuable contribution to the patient's experience.
  • Provide commitment to creating a supportive and enabling working culture on the ward, which promotes patient staff and safety.
  • Infection prevention - ensuring compliance with latest Covid 19 National standards, Audits etc…
  • Creating effective staff off duty - ensuring effective utilisation of staff and bank staff
  • Audits
  • Contribution towards investigation and carry out investigations and improvements
  • Mentoring students and apprentices


The Person

To succeed as a Sister / Charge Nurse you will have;

  • A wide range of nursing skills and knowledge, including care of patients pre and post operatively, following a wide range of surgical procedures Orthopaedic, Day-care, Plastics, ENT, Gynea, Urology and ophtalmology.
  • Excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic, forward thinking approach.
  • As much confidence working independently, as you do as part of a team.

Salary - Up to £36,000 per annum/ depending on experience
