Senior Staff Nurse

Priory Hospital Barnt Green are looking for Senior Staff Nurses (RMN's and RNLD's) to work across our two NHS wards and our Private ward. Nursing in mental health has never been more challenging as we continue to provide the highest quality care in a COVID-secure and safe way, as a Senior Nurse, you will take a lead role in guiding others to maintain quality care safely.

As a Senior Staff Nurse will have already gained some experience working either in other inpatient settings (including prison healthcare), or in the community and as part of this you will have developed a sound understanding of the principles of recovery within mental healthcare so as to support others to guide patients as they progress on their individual treatment journeys. The hospital operates a trauma-informed approach so as to provide support that helps people achieve their goals taking into account their life experiences.

This is more than a job, it's a vocation. You will work alongside dedicated and supportive colleagues who share this same passion to help others. We welcome people from all backgrounds and value the contribution that your life experience, culture and world view can bring.

As a Senior Staff Nurse with Priory Group, you will receive full training, support and guidance to enable you to provide high quality care. You will be offered the opportunity to develop further enabling you to progress further in your career if you choose to do so. As part of this you will need to complete our bespoke training, including prevention & management of violence and aggression training (PMVA). You will also need to complete an enhanced DBS check (it's worth remembering that a "positive disclosure" such as a criminal record will not automatically exclude you from working with us but it is highly recommended that you talk to us about anything you think may be disclosed as early as possible).

Our Hospital is open 24 hrs a day and therefore you will need to be able to work both days and nights across all 7 days of the week. Our shifts generally run from 7:30am - 8pm for day shifts and 7:30pm - 8am for night shifts, and full time colleagues can expect to work 3 shifts per week for 3 weeks and 1 week where you will have 4 shifts (this will vary depending on the needs of Hospital). Although you will be allocated to a specific ward, there will be times where your knowledge and skills will be required on other wards.

We offer all our Nurses a £5000 welcome bonus which is paid in addition to the advertised salary.
