The theatre team in our Derby Hospital currently have a vacancy for a Senior Theatre Practitioner RGN/ODP.

Are you a Theatre Practitioner (Registered Nurse or ODP) passionate about providing the highest quality patient care in a friendly and supportive clinical team? If so, Nuffield Health Derby Hospital has the opportunity to work in our busy 3 theatre suite where patient safety and quality care is our priority.

As a hospital Nuffield Health Derby offers a comprehensive range of high quality surgical services. We have 38 beds and three operating theatres along with a recently refurbished outpatient department, a minor ops suite and a dedicated oncology unit. We have a full range of diagnostics, including on site CT and MRI. Our highly trained staff create a caring environment to encourage speedy recovery and wellbeing.

Because of the wide range of clinical procedures and specialisms we provide this makes Nuffield Health an exciting, dynamic and creative place to work. The mix of Private and NHS patient's pathways means we are delivering increasingly complex and acute care, and this requires highly skilled and competent Theatre Practitioners. We are uniquely placed to provide experience in:

  • Orthopaedics- including spinal surgery and arthroplasty,

  • General surgery including breast, laparoscopic

  • Gynaecology

  • Ophthalmology

  • Urology

  • ENT

  • Some cosmetic work

As a hospital we are rated as GOOD by the CQC. Our cancer services have been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment mark and Macmillan Adoption. We are JAG accredited for endoscopy services and we are also GIRFT assessed as an exemplar site for Joint replacement surgery and Spinal Surgery

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold current NMC/HCPC registration.
