Hours: Full time (37.5 hours)

Salary: Up to £74,000 (dependent on experience) + fantastic benefits

We are looking for an exceptional leader with significant senior operational experience to join our proactive, forward thinking senior leadership team.

The Princess Grace Hospital has 127 registered beds, including 111 inpatient beds including 8 endoscopy, an urgent care unit and a Level 3 intensive care unit containing 9 beds, with 24-hour consultant cover and a high dependency unit. The hospital also has a several specialised centres, including; The London Breast Institute, recognised as one of the best private breast screening and diagnostic treatment centres in the UK; the London Digestive Centre, a highly specialised outpatient facility offering diagnoses and treatments for all conditions of the stomach, small and large intestines, liver, pancreas, and bile ducts; and The Institute of Sport Exercise and Health, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to sport and exercise medicine.

We are looking for an individual who will;

  • Support the Chief Nursing Officer in the provision of day to day operational management and leadership, providing direction to ensure seamless service provision to all departments, clinicians and associated personnel.   
  • Supporting the senior management and executive teams in the planning and delivery of new service developments.
  • Lead the clinical education and workforce agenda for the hospital
  • Provide leadership to ensure the consistent delivery of high quality, safe, effective, responsive and caring services to patients using the services at The Princess Grace Hospital

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, support, and act as lead point of resource in nursing education and professional standards.
  • Ensure exceptional quality care delivery through robust management of practices and process according to the HCA mission policies and procedures and CQC standards.
  • Lead and develop relevant educational and workforce pathways/guidelines to support a continuous process of improvement.
  • Participate in Risk Management programme by reporting, investigating and taking necessary corrective action in all incidents.
  • Ensure that nursing and other clinical practices comply with HCA policies and procedures & maintain a safe environment in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Acts as nursing and clinical leader maintaining current clinical knowledge in order to direct/ supervise other staff providing patient care.
  • Work in partnership with the Head of Nursing for Patient Experience and Clinical Quality Improvement

Skills and Experience

  • Educated to BSc or Masters in related subject
  • Extensive senior, multispecialty operational experience within in a hospital setting particularly focusing on education and clinical practice
  • Demonstrative ability in Management and leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Registered with the NMC (Part 1)
