Aneurin Bevan University Health Board's Learning Disability Directorate is excited to appoint an inspirational and dynamic Senior Nurse to be a visible and professional clinical leader with professional and operational responsibility for defined community and inpatient areas within the ABUHB area.

The post holder will be a practising RNLD/RNMH with excellent leadership and management skills and a passion for ensuring high quality services are delivered to individuals who access our services.

You will work alongside our existing Senior Nurse colleague to ensure a seamless and consistent delivery of services across all Learning Disability services in ABUHB. You will support the Lead Nurse, Clinical Director & Directorate Manager in delivering high quality, effective and efficient services and will be line managed by the Lead Nurse/ Directorate Manager Learning Disabilities, with professional accountability to the Lead Nurse.

The Directorate has undertaken a review of community services and the successful applicant will play a pivotal role in implementing the key strategic, clinical and operational changes to services agreed as outcomes of this review.

The post holder will assist with the strategic direction for all ABUHB Learning Disability Services. With management team colleagues you will lead in the development of strategic and operational frameworks for staff to practice within, in order to develop, maintain and evaluate systems and structures, which promote the rights responsibilities and diversities of people with a learning disability.  

You will build and strengthen relationships with Health Board and Local Authority partners taking forward partnership working and the integration agenda.

You will be responsible for ensuring that performance management is robust and lead on and ensure the service user feedback agenda is developed and maintained across your area of responsibility.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
