A brilliant opportunity for an Oncology Practice Facilitator to join the team @ HCA Healthcare UK
The Clinical Practice Facilitator is responsible for enhancing professional practice and the provision of quality patient care in HCA UK. The Clinical Practice Facilitator (CPF) ensures efficient and effective operations of delivery of quality educational programs to new cohorts of nurses and current staff to drive improved clinical performance. The CPF actively collaborates and may lead the development of the entire orientation/onboarding process for nursing
Education is designed to improve professional practice and provision of quality care; To accomplish this goal the CPF may participate or leads the design and identification of educational activities to address practice gaps for identified target audiences. The CPF must promote and integrate the EBP in order to continuously improve practice in the clinical setting.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify existing and potential learning opportunities for students within the HCA Healthcare UK facilities and ensure that these link with the learning needs of different student groups
- Contribute to the identification, selection and evaluation of practice placements available ensuring these meet the Educational Practice Placement Standards
- Participate in the development and preparation of new mentors/preceptors
- Develop the Oncology clinical training provision for HCA UK facilities and clinical skills competencies
- Design and create a full range of training materials using a multi modal training approach
- Delivery of Basic Life Support, Manual Handling and many other key clinical education courses
Skills & Experience
- RGN with current NMC PIN
- First level degree in related subject
- Possessing a post-graduation certificate in education with a recognised mentorship qualification
- Extensive experience in clinical education; substantive experience in relevant nursing specialty
- Post Graduate Module in Practice Education
- Train the trainer qualification desirable
About your place of work:
The role will encompass the cancer centre across Harley Street including The Harley Street Clinic, LOC and Sarah Cannon Research Institute. Spanning all of these areas will mean the candidate will need to have through knowledge of medical, surgical and radiation oncology
