As a Senior Sister / Charge Nurse on critical care you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are provided and;
Support the unit manager in the efficient running of the unit.
Co-ordinate activity and be instrumental to making sure patients receive seamless, personalised care.
Have the privilege of working directly with consultants, who are experts in their field.
Use your knowledge and skills in assessment, care planning and delivery to make a valuable contribution to the patient's experience.
Provide commitment to creating a supportive and enabling working culture on the ward, which promotes patient staff and safety.
To succeed as a Sister / Charge Nurse you will have;
A wide range of nursing skills and knowledge in intensive care including care of patients post operatively, following a wide range of surgical procedures. For example, Cardiac, neuro liver and general.
Excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic, forward thinking approach.
As much confidence working independently, as you do as part of a team.
Excellent leadership and ward management skills - including a commitment to role modelling good practice and developing staff members.

Our highly successful, purpose-built hospital, deals with complex surgery and a vast range of specialities involving some 300 consultants. There are 80 bedrooms, an 8 bed Level 3 critical care unit and 6 theatres (2 Stryker laparoscopic and 2 laminar flow). These facilities, and high standards of care, make us one of the leading providers of private healthcare in the area. Our staff are welcoming, friendly and supportive, headed by a caring and effective management team. We're close to the city centre and central railway station.

Salary - £35,500 - £37,000 per annum (Depending On Experience)
