‘We are seeking a senior Band 6 Nurse to support with the education and development of our care team. You will provide clinical and holistic care and support to children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families. You will manage care planning, symptom control and end of life care.’

THE ROLE:

• Supporting the care team with their education, development and IPC
• Ensuring holistic care is family-centered, needs-led, evidence-based and meets all statutory requirements.
• Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care plans to meet the children’s needs
• Contributing to the caseload management including managing referrals, ongoing and annual assessment, care delivery and transition
• Undertaking day to day management, supervision and appraisal of staff

• Able to develop effective working relationships
• Ability to work under pressure, juggle workload/multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to use common sense, good judgement and initiative in potentially challenging situations
• Willingness to provide flexibility to travel and work outside normal working hours where required
