Job Details

Be part of our new team improving the health and lives of young people across West Yorkshire.

Hello,

My name is Hayley and I’m a senior nurse and team leader of the children and young people’s inpatient mental health service in Leeds.

Hayley Greenwood

We’re building a new 120 strong multidisciplinary team, including a large nursing team, providing safe and effective care for our 13-18 year old inpatients across West Yorkshire.

We’re now looking for band 5 staff nurses (£24,907 - £30,615) and we’d love you to be part of it.

You’ll be based in Leeds and, later this year, you’ll be working in our brand new £20m purpose built unit, named Red Kite View. In the video above you’ll hear from me and my colleague Emma talking about this exciting development

We’d welcome applications from nurses from any specialities. Ideally you’ll have some experience in young people's mental health services (also known as CAMHS) but it’s not essential.

If you’re not local, we’re offering up to £8,000 to help you relocate, as well as help with house hunting and finding childcare.

My Trust has a clear career development and progression plan for nurses. We also work closely with partners across West Yorkshire which means you could progress into a range of inpatient, community and other specialist areas.

If you’re interested I’d love to hear from you, please contact through clicking APPLY.

Company

Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

We are the main provider of specialist mental health and learning disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist services across West Yorkshire, the North of England and some highly specialised national services.

Our vision is to provide outstanding mental health and learning disability services as an employer of choice. This means supporting our service users and carers, our staff and the communities we serve to live healthy and fulfilling lives where we can all achieve our personal and professional goals, and live free from stigma and discrimination.

Nurses are the bedrock of our Trust, working with people so they feel safe, cared for and respected. We have a strong foundation of excellent staff and we want to make sure they are equipped to meet the ever-changing and exciting challenge of providing care in the future.

Our well-established nursing strategy supports the hundreds of nurses and support workers across our Trust. We embrace those who are following apprentice pathways or are taking up the associate practitioner and nursing associate roles, in addition to the more established roles of registered nurses and health care support workers.

Not only are we proud of our nursing staff, we also aspire to be a learning organisation where our employees can truly feel proud to nurse, and we’re committed to strengthening our research and development pathways for nursing.

To keep pace, we must be active in new ways of working, drive innovation and exercise our influence, to make sure that we continue to provide safe and effective care to the communities we serve.

We’re part of strong network of NHS and other health and care providers across Leeds, West Yorkshire, York and the North of England. That means there are opportunities for you to work not just across our diverse range of services, but across many other inpatient, community and specialist areas.
