Nuffield Health is Britain's largest not-for-profit healthcare organisation. Join us as a Theatre Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner in our Cambridge Hospital and play your part in building a healthier nation.

The original Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital opened in 1921 as the Evelyn Hospital and is an established part of the local community.

Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital was acquired by the Nuffield Health Hospitals group in 2003 and was originally named the Evelyn Hospital after the wife of the philanthropic art dealer Charles Morland Agnew.

Following the completion of our new hospital, we now have a state-of-the-art facility providing 36 bedrooms all of which have en-suite facilities. There are four operating theatres, two close monitoring beds and Oncology and Day Case suites. We have a busy outpatient department offering Physiotherapy and diagnostic imaging, including on-site MRI and CT scanners. The hospital has an excellent reputation for clinical care, expertise and efficient friendly staff.

The Role

As a Scrub Nurse or Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you might join us from the NHS or a private setting. Not only this but you will be valued and free from the constraints that currently prevent you from achieving job satisfaction. As a Theatre Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner you will;

  • Work on a varied caseload using technology, equipment and facilities, which are all state-of-the-art.
  • Supervise, support and develop junior members of staff.
  • Deliver high quality care and experiences for patients, which is always clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate.

The Person

To succeed as a Theatre Nurse/ ODP / Scrub RGN you will have;

  • High levels of focus and engagement.
  • A passion for high standards and a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC.
  • Post-registration experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and will be a great team worker. You will also be flexible and motivated.

Salary - Starting from £28,500
Fixed Term Contract, 37.5 hours a week

Location - Cambridge
