About the role
Leading by example, you will take responsibility for leading one of our multidisciplinary Blood Donation teams, ensuring they are safely collecting and storing all blood and platelet donations, while meeting the relevant regulatory standards. Ensuring every donor enjoys a comfortable and safe experience, you will be instrumental in helping us meet our ambitious targets. Whether working in one of our static Donor Centres or engaging with the community, you will constantly update your team’s knowledge. In a fast-paced environment where you will need to hit the ground running, this is a valuable chance to put your skills to the test in a progressive and interesting work environment.
About you
This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills. While no specialist knowledge is needed, you will be a Registered Nurse, with substantial senior-level experience of managing a team in a clinical environment. You will also have:
- Exceptional communication and customer-service skills, with plenty of compassion.
- Great organisational skills, plus skills in Microsoft Office.
- Experience of monitoring and evaluating standards of care, with the resilience to challenge poor performance.
- A good understanding of risk management and patient safety initiatives.
- A valid driving licence.

This post attracts the additional benefit of HCA Supplement – 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1034 and a maximum payment of £1791.
