The Role

Operationally responsible for the Theatre and Endoscopy teams, you will enjoy the chance to make a real difference with Nuffield Health. As a Theatre Manager you will;

  • To provide strong clinical leadership to our multi disciplinary theatre department, assuming overall accountability for clinical effectiveness and operational management in order to deliver the highest quality perioperative care.
  • Actively contribute to service development, policies and strategies, plus identifying opportunities.
  • Support individuals and teams to deliver high quality, clinically effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals plus patients.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, ensuring patients benefit from the best possible treatment and care.
  • Ability to support operational requirements of the Theatre as required.
  • Business management, budget management, business planning and development, audits and clinical governance, infection prevention, health and safety plus risk analysis.

What are we looking for in our Theatre Manager?

  • Registered clinical practitioner with the appropriate governing body (NMC/HCPC).
  • An individual who has experience in managing a busy theatre environment
  • Ideally, your wide-ranging skills will include teaching and assessment, as well as ILS/ALS.
  • A professional management qualification would also be an advantage.
  • Budget management and demand and capacity profiling.

About Nuffield Manor Hospital - Oxford

Our modern hospital is based within a stone's throw of the historic City of Oxford, a world renowned centre of excellence for surgical and medical expertise.

We are proud of the wonderful environment and team we have established, providing our patients with first class care. We operate 6 well equipped and modern operating theatres with 64 well-presented en-suite rooms across 2 floors. We cater for both inpatient and day care, providing a broad range of surgical specialties and clinics including: Paediatrics (3 years and over), Oncology, Interventional Cardiology & Radiology, Orthopaedics, Endoscopy, Gynaecology, Urology, Ophthalmology as well as women's and men's health clinics

The hospital is located with excellent transport links by road and rail, both to and from London, Thames Valley and the Midlands.

Salary - 65k plus benefits

Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
