Job Details

Are you a Nurse who enjoys providing outstanding patient care but are struggling with the physical demands of the job – why not join us at PPG?

As a 111 Clinical Advisor, you`ll be seen as an integral member of the team, supporting the Health Advisors within the contact centre.

Calls will be directed to you when patients require clinical advice. By using a combination of your clinical expertise and our NHS Pathways software, you`ll ensure the patient receives the most suitable treatment tailored to their needs. Treatment can range from self-care and advice to referring patients to other services such as OOH appointments or other members of our multi-disciplinary team.

While we are a non-urgent service, some calls can be emotional, distressing or life-threatening, and there will be times when 999 services (such as an ambulance) may need to be dispatched, so you will receive full and paid training so that you can be an expert in using the NHS Pathways system and be confident in your role as Clinical Advisor.

You will benefit from flexible working hours; shifts available 24/7 to meet your circumstances; great rates of pay and the full range of benefits. Other benefits you can enjoy by moving to a call centre environment are guaranteed regular breaks and the ability to have a better work/life balance where you can plan ahead and have more certainty regarding your working hours and start and finish times. You could also take advantage of the opportunity to move to either partial or full home working after settling into the role.

We are one of the UK largest independent sector healthcare providers and work in close partnership with the NHS to deliver more than 50 services throughout the UK. We provide high quality specialist care and excellent results for more than 50,000 patients each year.

Practice Plus Group is passionate about great healthcare. We believe that anyone should be able to access excellent care, whether via the NHS or privately. Our breadth of expertise spans surgery, diagnostics, general practice, offender health and urgent care, with an unrivalled range of different services provided across the country. We`re proud to be at the forefront of developing new and exciting ways to support the nation’s health too, helping patients to maximise their wellbeing and live life to the full.

Our mission here at Practice Plus Group is to deliver access to excellent healthcare, via the NHS and privately. We provide an unrivalled range of services at our hospitals and surgical centres, covering diagnostics, general practice, urgent care, healthcare in secure environments and surgery. And we’re proud to be at the forefront of providing new ways of supporting the nation’s health.

From ear, nose and throat treatments, to foot and ankle surgery, here at Practice Plus Group the secondary care we provide is second to none. The consistently high CQC ratings our hospitals and surgical centres receive bear testimony to that. And our success is all down to the care, skill and commitment shown by our teams across the UK.

Join us to work in partnership with the NHS, delivering scheduled treatments to private and NHS patients. It’s a chance to be part of an agile and innovative healthcare company that’s determined to help our partners introduce new ideas and new ways of working. And it’s an opportunity to pursue a rewarding career as a key member of a caring team.

Our Integrated Urgent Care team gives healthcare professionals a new way to use their skills to support the NHS. We provide urgent care via 111, out-of-hours, GP, and clinical assessment services on behalf of the NHS. Join us, and you’ll be helping relieve some of the pressure on NHS emergency services at a vital time.

As part of a friendly and supportive team, you’ll be helping us tackle health inequality and ensuring patients who need urgent care get seen in the best place for their needs.
