Job Details

We are currently looking to recruit a Children and Young People (CYP) Staff Nurse to join our ward team. You will deliver high quality patient care in a dynamic and varied clinical environment.

Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital

Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital offers the latest facilities and technology for the care of patients from Leamington Spa, Coventry, Kenilworth, Stratford and surrounding areas with a wide range of surgical and medical requirements.

Our specialities include orthopaedics, spinal surgery, eye care, oncology, diagnostic imaging and general surgery. We have made this hospital available to NHS trusts to support patients with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, cancer and other urgent health conditions. We are open for new referrals and are offering online consultations to our patients, working with the NHS to determine the most clinically appropriate diagnostic tests or procedures to carry out at this time. We're located on the outskirts of Royal Leamington Spa with easy access by rail and road - we have a large, free car park.

The Role

As an essential part of our ward team, you will deliver high quality, clinically effective patient care. We offer a wide variety of cases which will broaden your skills and you will be working in a modern hospital with fantastic facilities. You will have the time to put patients first - our reputation depends upon it. You will enjoy the variety of working within different specialist areas, as well as the flexibility to work shifts to suit your lifestyle.

At Nuffield Health, you'll discover nursing as it should be - with more time to care, and get to know the people who are your patients as you help them through difficult times. Whether you're currently in the NHS or a private setting, we're sure you'll find your career with us motivating and rewarding. Because we genuinely believe in putting our patients first. We'll trust you to use your own judgment and skills, and respect and value you as a professional. Across a varied caseload, you'll need to draw on all your skills to ensure each individual patient receives the high quality of care they deserve.

You'll be part of a close-knit team headed by our matron, who provides the foundation and lead for our patient centred care. And, with our consultant-led service, you'll be working directly with some of the best clinical talent around, gaining experience with new practices, equipment and facilities. These are maintained to a high standard - we take great pride in our low infection rates and high CQC scores at Nuffield Health.

The Person

You will need some post registration experience in a surgical ward environment and feel comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team. A Paediatric Immediate Life Support certificate (PILS) or equivalent is desirable.

As a nurse registered with the appropriate governing body, you'll have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. You'll also have post-registration experience. Like us, you believe in putting people first. So you'll appreciate having the time to care - to fully understand each patient's needs and provide individual attention that can mean so much when they're at their most vulnerable. In short, you'll be able to deliver the type of care that comes naturally to a talented nurse. You'll be an excellent communicator and team worker - flexible and motivated. As part of the hospital team, you'll interact with practitioners from other departments because you understand the importance of continuity in patient care.
