The role :
Responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in providing professional leadership and strategic direction to the nursing services. Responsible for administrative, clinical and operational functions of their assigned area (s) of responsibility. Participates as a member of the nursing executive team in the formulation of strategic plan/business plan. Responsible for the implementation and delivery of age appropriate patient care congruent with the mission, vision and values of the Organization. Responsible for ensuring nursing/midwifery staff adheres to the Professional Code of Conduct and Scope of Practice of the regulatory body. Promotes professional Nursing/Midwifery practice and quality of care within the organizational setting. 

Required Education  
*Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or equivalent qualifications

* AND MSc degree in Mental Health or equivalent

Desired:
*Ph.D. Degree in Nursing or Health Services management
* International accreditation experience,

Experience Required:
Minimum of 8 years clinical experience post qualification in Mental health Nursing and 4 Years of experience in managerial and leadership role in Mental health unit or specialized hospital in mental health
