Shift pattern: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Thursday 10am-6pm and Friday 9am-5pm
Location: This role will be Home Based after a period of training has been completed at our Head Office in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire

At BPAS, we’re looking for a Contraception/STI Nurse or Midwife to join our telephone services on a full-time basis working in the field of contraception and sexual health!
As a Contraception/STI Nurse or Midwife, you'll work as part of an integrated team to offer a high standard of client-centered telephonic clinical information and advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Speak to clients over the phone in a sensitive and confidential manner regarding their contraceptive needs and choices and to provide accurate, evidence-based information and advice.
- Talk to clients via the phone regarding sexually transmitted infections and to provide accurate, evidence-based information and advice, including results of STI testing and to undertake partner notification.
- Collect and collate monitoring information regarding client usage of contraception and take up of STI testing for BPAS and other relevant agencies.
- Make any necessary referrals to genitourinary medicine or contraception services.
- Provide ad-hoc clinical advice and guidance as necessary to Contact Centre staff regarding contraception, STIs or client's medical condition and potential suitability for treatment with BPAS (abortion, vasectomy, vasectomy reversal or female sterilisation).
About You
You will be a skilled Practitioner (Registered Nurse or Midwife), with an accredited contraceptive/sexual health/reproductive qualification along with evidence of teaching and assessing. You'll have a passion for working in women's healthcare and be non-judgmental and friendly in your approach.
We are also looking for:
- Significant experience in providing contraceptive and sexually transmitted infections information and advice.
- Knowledge of safeguarding/child protection and issues related to providing information and advice to young people.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including exceptional telephone manner.
- Accurate administrative and computer skills with a high attention to detail.
