Our state of the art hospital, is central Cambridge's premium private hospital, boasting an Outstanding CQC score and offer a full range of medical and surgical specialties.With expertise in Cancer care and Cancer surgery, Orthopaedic surgery (including robotic surgery), Neurosurgery, Cardiology as well as specialist Paediatric services. Backed by the latest diagnostic imaging facilities including wide bore MRI and CT scanning, we offer immediate assessment and expert diagnosis.

Hospital facilities include 3 state of the art digital theatres, 32 beds, Surgical Day Case theatre/endoscopy suite, Surgical Day PODs, private consultation rooms, close monitoring units, Chemotherapy suite, On-site registered pharmacy, Diagnostic scanning unit and a Pathology laboratory.

As a Senior Sister/ Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are provided.

Responsibilities of a Sister/ Charge Nurse

  • Support the Ward Senior Sister in the efficient running of the ward.
  • Co-ordinate activity and be instrumental to making sure patients receive seamless, personalised care.
  • Have the privilege of working directly with consultants, who are experts in their field.
  • Use your knowledge and skills in assessment, care planning and delivery to make a valuable contribution to the patient's experience.
  • Provide commitment to creating a supportive and enabling working culture on the ward, which promotes patient staff and safety.

Our Ideal Sister/ Charge Nurse will have:

  • A wide range of nursing skills and knowledge, including care of patients pre and post operatively, following a wide range of surgical procedures. For example, Cardiac, Colorectal, Orthopaedic, Day-care, Plastics, ENT, Gynea, Urology and more.
  • Excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic, forward thinking approach.
  • As much confidence working independently, as you do as part of a team.
  • Excellent leadership and ward management skills - including a commitment to role modelling good practice and developing staff members.

Salary - Competitive depending on skills and experience

Location - Cambridge

Full time, 37.5 hours per week
