Job Details

Nuffield Health, the UK's largest not for profit healthcare provider, is looking for an experienced Theatre Practitioner/ Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join our Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital.

We are seeking Theatre Practitioners/ ODPs to join the efficient , friendly team which that supports four state-of-the-art digital theatres and endoscopy, who boasts a CQC very good rating for their surgical pathways.

You will benefit from working with a proactive and knowledgeable team, whilst being encouraged with your CPD and self-learning. You will gain exposure with the range of surgeries provided at the hospital, with several changes in a day supported by an adaptable and helpful team.

Our Role

Responsibilities of a Theatre Practitioner/ ODP

  • Work on a varied caseload using technology, equipment and facilities, which are all state-of-the-art.
  • Supervise, support and develop junior members of staff.
  • Deliver high quality care and experiences for patients, which is always clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate.

Our Ideal Theatre Practitioner/ ODP will have:

  • High levels of focus and engagement.
  • A passion for high standards and a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC.
  • Post-registration experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and will be a great team worker. You will also be flexible and motivated.

About Guildford Hospital

At Nuffield Health Guilford we work with leading Consultants to offer a range of services and treatments for preventing, diagnosing and treating a wide array of medical conditions and offer a wide range of complex surgery and services. Our care is matron led and we are proud to have received a "good" rating from the health care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Our facilities include 49 en-suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, acute dependency and oncology units. We've been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care. Our site is shared with an NHS Trust hospital, giving us access to their facilities. The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit. The hospital is easily accessible from the A3 or M25 and we are located about 1.5 miles from Guildford town centre. .

Salary - Competitive

Location- Guildford Hospital

Full-time; 37,5 hours per week
