Gastroenterology & General Medicine

(Almroth Wright & Rodney Porter Wards)

Are you interested in specialising in gastroenterology & general medicine? We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated newly qualified or experienced registered nurse to work on Almroth Wright and Rodney Porter wards. The two wards accommodate our gastroenterology and general medical patients’ who have a range of medical needs. You will work alongside a supportive and well established team led by a Matron and six charge nurses. We will support you with to enhance and develop your skills working closely with upper GI, lower GI Specialist Nurses, members of the multi-disciplinary support team and Consultants. The team are passionate about providing the highest standard of care, working closely with relatives and carers, the discharge team and community to ensure that all our patients’ needs are met at every stage of their stay.

What we offer:

  • Opportunities to develop and gain skills in the speciality and work alongside our specialist nurses and Practice Development nurse
  • For newly qualified nurses we have a preceptorship programme and work closely with a number of great universities.
