What you’ll be doing:

 

You will be responsible for providing evidence based and clinically effective care for patients. Providing specialist support, education and training across the hospital to facilitate early diagnosis and effective treatment of patients presenting with Cardiac disease and Chronic Respiratory Disease. You will also be involved, but not limited to, the following duties:

 

• Provide specialist advice to evidence based clinically effective care to cardiology and respiratory patients and their relatives in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.

 

• Engender a culture of respectful relationships through professional role modelling conveying the principles required for nurses to improve the patient’s experience

 

• Manage self, others and resources so patients’ needs are placed at the centre of care delivery

 

• Influence the provision of direct and indirect clinical care, teaching and research

 

• Promote flexibility in the approach to care and ensure cover for any area specified.

 

 

 

Who we’re looking for?

 

Essential:

 

  • Registered Nurse
  • Holds ENB 124/254 or equivalent
  • Holds ENB 998/Slice or C&G 730 or equivalent
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Holds Advanced life support certificate
  • Proven teaching and assessing skills
  • Excellent ECG and LFT interpretation
  • Demonstrable advanced skills in this specialty with acute cardiology /respiratory experience
  • Experience at Band 6 or above

 

 

Desirable:

 

  • Has attained or is working towards a master’s degree
  • Demonstrate commitment through involvement in Hospital wide initiatives/ committees.
  • Understanding of Microsoft office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience at clinical audit and research
