This is a fantastic opportunity to join our award winning business, based at our lovely Lisden Home in Kirriemuir, Angus as Deputy Manager.

Our core values are integral to how we operate, and that starts with recruitment. So before you apply, ask yourself:

  • Are you someone who is seen as a trusted colleague?
  • Do you always ensure you are responsive to the needs of others?
  • Do you have the potential to be an inspiring influence to colleagues and residents alike?
  • Are you keen to work within Care and passionate about making a difference to the lives of others?

The Role

You will oversee and maintain the care of Residents within a designated area of the home and, in the absence of the Home Manager, take responsibility for providing a level of support toward the day to day running of the Home. You will be required to delegate tasks and monitor staff members’ activity.

You will establish and maintain good communication with Residents, Relatives and the multidisciplinary team and participate in the evaluation and review of policies and procedures as and when required.

You will confidently and efficiently carry out all nursing procedures, maintaining and improving professional knowledge and competence and ensuring you are up to date in all areas of clinical expertise.

You will lead, along with the Home Manager, in supervising visits and liaising with GPs in order to establish a good relationship between GPs / Health Care Professionals and the Care Home.

An important part of the role is the need to display leadership qualities including participating in Staff Induction & Training programmes as and when required, as well as supervising and instructing junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the Care Home, giving help and guidance where appropriate.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

You must be a qualified registered nurse with a good level of experience, and posses the ability to communicate highly effectively at all levels.

A real team player, you will be confident and competent at making links with internal and external stakeholders, and ideally posses care for the Elderly experience.

We offer permanent, secure roles with scope to develop and swiftly progress within the organisation. Salaries are very competitive and we have an excellent range of staff benefits including shopping and holiday discounts, free health and legal advice, and access to free counselling services.
