There is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic RGN to develop their career in the Maxillofacial Unit. We are seeking to appoint a motivated nurse with extensive clinical and leadership skills to be appointed to a band 6 dual Deputy Sister / PAC role.

The successful candidate will need to commit to completing the Clinical Patient Assessment Module. Experience in the specialities would be desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate post registration education and leadership skills.

The department is a self-contained unit, with outpatient clinics and Local and General operating lists, and the successful applicant will be expected to work across all areas of the units i.e. clinic, recovery, theatre, and patient day ward.

The primary base will be the Royal Gwent Hospital, however the successful applicant may also need to provide leadership and clinical support to the Nevill Hall team.

The unit is currently open between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday, and operates a late night rota.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
