Thank you for looking into our Nursing opportunities in Manx Care on the Isle of Man - a Preceptorship of the Year finalist in the Nursing Times Workforce Awards 2021!

By working with us, we'd hope that you can achieve your aspirations and live the lifestyle you want!

We’re a new public sector organisation responsible for delivering health and social care services across the Isle of Man. We want to establish ourselves as the best small island based health and care system in the world.

Our values are Committed, Appreciative, Respectful and Excellence. This means we really care about you, your career and our patients.

If you want to achieve your ambitions, working for a forward-thinking and supportive organisation, whilst enjoying an excellent work-life balance, then take a look at our video and live vacancies by clicking on the APPLY button.

Why join us?

By joining us you’ll be stepping away from NHS pressures and demands, as the Island’s healthcare system is similar but separate to the UK NHS.

As a new nurse into the organisation, you'll be well supported from day 1 - we'll help you relocate, settle in and ensure you have the training and development to enable you to excel in your new role.

Our salary bands work in the same way as the UK NHS, however we offer advantageous rates of pay.

  • Our Band 5 scale is: £28,611 to £36,275 per annum
  • Our Band 6 scale is: £32,207 to £43,468 per annum

Manx Care have been shortlisted for a prestigious Nursing Times Workforce Award in the ‘Preceptorship of the Year - Under 1,500 Nursing Staff’ category, so if you're a newly qualified nurse, you can be assured you'll have a preceptorship that will set up well for your future.

You'll be able to take advantage of the excellent training and development facilities we have, which includes generous funding towards qualifications up to Masters level.

We'll support you to make the move!

We appreciate that moving somewhere new can be a big change so we've always got team members on hand that can support you during your move. We also offer generous relocation packages for many of our roles. Here you can enjoy a fantastic quality of life, and an excellent work-life balance! There are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities; so if you like walking, mountain biking, sailing or kayaking, you’ll have lots of places to explore!
There are also lots of great cafes, bars and restaurants, and you can enjoy the Island’s real sense of community. The island is well connected to the UK, and you’ll also benefit from low income tax rates (20% maximum rate) meaning you'll take home more of your hard earned salary than many other locations. You can also benefit from the National Insurance Holiday Scheme, which allows you to apply for a refund on your NI contributions for your 1st year of living here.
