£2,750 Golden Hello payment for this role for new starters to the Trust.

About Us
Sherwood Oaks is a brand new 70 bedded Adult Mental Health Inpatient service which is due to open in early 2022, located on the outskirts of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
The hospital will have 4 single sex wards and a hospital-based place of safety (Section 136 suite), all providing single person accommodation with en-suite facilities. Sherwood Oaks Hospital will provide high quality care 24 hours a day 7 days a week to people over the age of 18 from Nottingham City and County who are experiencing a range of mental health and emotional difficulties.
Sherwood Oaks sits within the Adult Mental Health Directorate, of the Mental Health Division of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
About the Role
We are really keen to receive applications from existing Band 5 Staff Nurses working in other areas. You will have many transferable skills that you can use within an AMH setting and you will be supported to broaden these skills further.
As a Staff Nurse, you will form part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting the planning and delivery of patient care while working in a way that is collaborative, evidenced based and responsive to people’s needs.
You will be a registered nurse (Mental Health/Learning Disability), with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), with excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, along with a positive attitude and a commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice.
Main Duties of the Role:
- Assess patient’s needs, analyse and develop treatment plans within a multidisciplinary framework for a diverse patient group and their families under the care programme approach
- Provide timely and occasionally intensive support to patients within an acute inpatient setting
- Maintain accurate, timely and relevant clinical records both written and computerised
- Responsible for the safe monitoring, management and administration of medication as required by Trust policy
- Apply the principles of Infection Prevention and Control and to comply with policy, procedure and guidance
- Provide education and supervision to junior staff members, peers and other professionals
