We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, motivated, confident nurse to join our Ward team. We are looking for a dynamic, experienced individual who is productive, patient focused and committed to treat our patients with the best possible care.

The Role

This senior staff nurse post will support the day sister in managing the ward. Working on all departments in the ward, ADU and Day ward to offer support to senior staff and junior staff . You will manage the ward when required, and deliver high quality care to our patients . As Senior you will be expected to undertake Audits, performance reviews, dealing with allocation beds staff and scenarios, assisting in the teams education and development.

Taking on different roles, you will be a team leader and when not in charge and work with junior colleagues.

You need at least 3 years experience in nursing and good knowledge of variety of procedures or ability to adapt to the ever-changing specialities that we do . Flexibility to cover the various shifts is required.

As a Staff Nurse you will;

  • Use your skills, dedication, ability to spot a problem and act quickly, as well as using an empathetic approach to make our patients' journeys memorable - for all the right reasons.

  • As part of a close-knit, multidisciplinary team within a consultant-led service, you will work directly with some of the best clinical talent around. You will also gain experience with new practices, equipment and facilities.

  • Fully understand and meet each individual patient's clinical and personal needs.

  • As part of the wider hospital team, you will interact with practitioners from other areas because you understand that community in patient care is key.

The Person

To succeed as a Staff Nurse (RGN) you will;

  • Have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

  • Be a registered nurse with the appropriate governing body, with the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC.

  • Have post-registration experience.

  • Be alert, focused, detail-oriented and empathetic.

  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a team.
