Senior Chemotherapy Staff Nurse - Warwickshire - Full-Time

The Role
The unit treats a variety of cancers including Breast, Cervical, Ovarian, Pancreatic, GI cancers and Prostate. You will work within a team of skilled chemotherapy nurses as well as part of a Multi-disciplinary team ensuring that our patients are treated with the best possible care. You will also assist with outpatient clinics, offering you an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge within Cancer Care.
With our consultant / nurse -led service, you will be working directly with some of the best clinical talent around, gaining experience with new practices, equipment and facilities. Some of the key duties, but not limited to are;
Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring.
Use clinical skills and an empathetic approach to meet each individual patient's need.
Be part of a multidisciplinary team and work with some of the best clinical talent around to experience new practices, equipment and facilities.
Deliver high quality holistic care to your patients
Administering systemic anti-cancer therapy.
Assisting consultants during Clinics.
Supporting Patients through their Cancer Journey.
Providing care for Acute Oncological emergencies.
You'll interact with practitioners from other departments because you understand the importance of continuity in patient care.
Being part of a team that constantly look for new and innovative ways to improve the care that is delivered.
Educate patients in the management of their care.

The Person
To succeed as a Senior Chemotherapy Staff Nurse you will;
Be NMC registered and be a qualified nurse, with a SACT competency
Have experience of Oncology Nursing plus further professional training and experience. Preferably, a qualification within Oncology nursing.
You should have a minimum of 6 months chemotherapy administration experience
Be proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation and Central Venous Access Devices

Salary - Up to £32,000 per annum
