Staff Nurse - Oncology (RN) - Wolverhampton Hospital - Dependent on skills and experience plus enhancements

Our Oncology unit currently have an internal opportunity for a Oncology Staff Nurse . Begin your journey with us whilst we'll support you to be your best.

The Opportunity


The Oncology unit has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team. You will be able to administer Anti Systemic cancer treatment (SACT), work within Oncology Clinics and assess Patient's who present unwell post SACT Treatment. Our current treatment days are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 08:30-16:30 As our Oncology Staff Nurse you will:

The Person


To succeed as a Oncology Staff Nurse, you will need:

  • The SACT Chemotherapy course or equivalent

  • Be able to access central venous devices

  • Have excellent Communication skills

  • work well as an individual and part of a team

  • Be flexible to the service needs

About You

To be considered as a Oncology Nurse, you'll be qualified with an appropriate professional body, such as NMC and Chemotherapy course or equivalent.

You'll possess skills to support the variety of specialties as described above. There is also the opportunity to develop your skills where patients require SACT Treatment. You will have a passion for delivering excellent and individually tailored patient care. Your excellent communications skills will ensure your integration into our multidisciplinary team and you'll possess the proven ability to work autonomously and flexibly.
