The King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) has an opportunity for a Community Psychiatric Nurse interested in expanding their horizons to live and work in our beautiful islands.

The caseload is very wide-ranging including children, adults under 65 and adults over 65, acute, severe and enduring mental health problems and on an inpatient and outpatient basis and as such is very unique requiring a depth of knowledge and experience not expected in other modern societies.

We are looking for someone with a First Level Degree (or equivalent) in Nursing, enabling registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)/ Psychiatric Nurse in the UK or equivalent overseas qualifications.  3 years post-registration experience as a qualified mental health / psychiatric nurse with the ability (or capacity and aptitude to learn) to independently assess, implement and develop programmes of care.

The Package

  • Fixed Term Contract, up to 4 years.
  • Starting Salary - £31,577 up to £35,133 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) rising to £38,998.
  • Eligibility for a 25% Gratuity (taxable).
  • 41 days paid leave, 30 days paid annual leave plus 11 government and public holidays.
  • Relocation Allowance, to help with moving costs.
  • Flights Package for you and any recognised dependents residing with you at post both at the beginning and end of contract, along with additional annual return flights contingent on the duration of the contract.
