If so, we are looking for an exceptional Registered Nurse at our Hereford Hospital.

About Nuffield Hospital - Hereford

Working with leading consultants, Hereford hospital prevents and treats many medical conditions and offer a wide range of complex surgery and services. The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit. The Nuffield Health Hospital is set in beautiful grounds just half a mile north of Hereford City Centre.

The Ward consists of 20 inpatient beds, 3 day surgery unit beds and a busy ACU with the majority of patients receiving elective Surgical procedures.

We cater for both inpatient and day case surgery, providing a broad range of surgical specialties including: General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Endoscopy, Gynaecology, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Vascular, Plastics and more.

The hospital is located with excellent transport links nearby road and rail in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside.

The Role

On joining our agile and highly energised multidisciplinary team you'll have a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and experience across a range of specialties and levels of complexity.

Supported by our Clinical Head of Department Elaine Townend, you'll have autonomy to utilise your acquired expertise and skills to make decisions that will ensure the delivery of excellent patient care. The work is exciting, varied and challenging, the multiple specialities will enable you to develop new skills and grow. We actively support you to be the best you can be in your role while also offering opportunities to progress.

The Person

To succeed as a Staff Nurse in our Ward you will ,

  • Have a registration with the appropriate governing body and have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC

  • You'll possess skills to support the variety of specialties as described above. There is also the opportunity to develop your skills.

  • Have a passion for delivering excellent and individually tailored patient care.

  • Your excellent communications skills will ensure your integration into our multidisciplinary team

  • You'll possess the proven ability to work autonomously and flexibly.

Salary - £16.00 per hour
Location - Hereford

Shift patterns - 7am - 7.30pm, Night duty 7pm - 7.30am. Early shifts 7 - 2.30pm, or Late shifts 2pm - 9.30pm. However, preferences for hours worked can be discussed at interview.

Bank Contract

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
