Overall purpose:
We are offering an exciting new opportunity for a specialist role to provide training and support to staff to promote excellent care to the children, young people and adults we support. The post holder will act as a source of information, support and advice to families and other stake holders. Experience of training others to provide clinical care is essential.
About the role:
We currently have a vacancy for a Registered Nurse (Child or Learning Disabilities) to join our team. This exciting new post will be based in our Children’s Services team at our Short Break Home, working across short break, domiciliary, day care and transition care services.
The key purpose of the role is to provide training and support to staff to promote excellent care to the children, young people and adults we support. The post holder will act as a source of information, support and advice to families and other stake holders. Experience of training others to provide clinical care is essential.
Clinical care provided in children’s services includes meeting a range of needs such as enteral feeding, epilepsy care, respiratory care, orthopaedic nursing and tissue viability as well as care provision to children with a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders. The successful applicant will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Under the UK legislation, we do require our staff to be double vaccinated.
