Job Details

Nuffield Health is Britain's largest healthcare charity. We're balancing our social values with strong business discipline to help the UK get healthy and stay that way. We're all about great people, too - recruiting and nurturing talent in a supportive, development-led setting.

Right now, we're looking for a Pre-Assessment Senior Staff Nurse to join our team in Bournemouth.

About the Hospital

Founded in 1957, Nuffield Hospital Bournemouth is an exceptionally caring environment with 41 beds, 3 Theatres, an Endoscopy room, a Cardiac Catheter Suite and 2 Outpatient Theatres (minor procedures). Our service provision is varied, covering everything from Outpatients and minor procedures through to major surgical specialties.

About the Person

We are looking for an experienced Staff Nurse who is currently NMC registered and who has experience working in a Pre-Assessment Department. Candidates should ideally have experience in carrying out face to face and telephone Pre-Assessments, as well as being competent in phlebotomy and ECG recording and reading. Candidates should also have a qualification in teaching and assessment, together with some mentoring experience or a Level 2 or 3 management qualification.

Excellent English language skills, IT literacy and the ability to comply with NMC standards for record keeping is essential.

Hours and Shifts

Candidates must be available to work a variety of shifts throughout the week. Shift pattern - mixture of Early, Late and Mid-shifts, with Early shifts on rotation on Saturdays.

Benefits

As a Nuffield Staff Nurse, you'll get to enjoy the real respect, rapport and effective working of a close-knit team, while benefiting from support and training opportunities. We can offer you continuous professional development, a competitive salary and benefits including free health screening, healthcare insurance, contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers and more.
