The GEHI Manager is accountable for the management of operations of the Government Employee Health Insurance scheme in accordance with the GEHI Act 1986, and established policies and procedures. The post holder is responsible for the administration and management of the GEHI section including but not limited to the financial planning, budgeting, human resources policies and procedures, health insurance claims management, and relationship management with the Health Insurance Department, Bermuda Health Council, Bermuda Hospitals Boards, local health systems stakeholders and actuaries and auditors. The post holder also provides professional and technical advice and other services to the GEHI Committee and the Accountant General in accordance with the GEHI scheme.  

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or a related field along with being a Registered Nurse or possession of another relevant medical qualification. They also must have a minimum of five (5) years relevant and current experience in all aspects of managing medical claims, which must include a minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
