Disability Assessor
In this role, you will analyse and interpret clinical information and medical evidence to produce a high-quality assessment report on a claimant’s case.
There are three variations of this role*:
- Disability assessors conducting initial reviews to establish the route a case should take and completing paper-based reviews as appropriate. Working as part of a team based in one of six sites across the UK, this may include gathering further information from the claimant and medical professionals involved in their care
- Disability assessors delivering face-to-face consultations from our 70+ consultations centres throughout the UK or via telephone and video consultations
- Home-based disability assessors conducting telephone and video consultations or completing initial reviews, paper-based reviews and gathering supporting information from claimants and those involved in their care
- All applicants must have a valid visa to work in the UK.

*Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the suspension of face-to-face consultations by the DWP, some of our consultation centres are closed and some of our teams are currently home-based.
It is essential that you have a valid visa to work in the UK.
