Registered Mental Health Nurse
Permanent- 37.5 hours per week worked on Night/Day Shifts
Site-Based at one of our four hospitals – London, Rotherham, Breaston
Clear career progression to Band 7 Nursing posts in service.
Ellern Mede is the UK’s most specialist inpatient eating disorders team and our nurses play a vital leadership role on the wards, maintaining quality standards, responding creatively to new challenges, and ensuring that our patients, always receive the best possible care.
We are looking for highly experienced individuals who are driven, dynamic and looking to be part of a committed, diverse, and experienced team of specialist eating disorders professionals.
We offer one of the most competitive salary packages in the industry by offering up to £40,000 per annum. The Nurse Bonus Scheme is £2,000 paid on the 1-year work anniversary and a further £2,000 paid on the 2nd year work anniversary.

We are the leading providers of high dependency services across the UK and can care for individuals with the most complex cases as well as providing day patient and outpatient care for early intervention and post discharge care.
We have a staff team of approximately 350, working across multiple hospital sites as well as satellite clinics. Our expansion aims are designed to offer care closer to home for more patients. Outpatient and Day Patient or part time care programmes are offered by arrangement at all sites. We offer bespoke programmes for private clients.

About Eating Disorders
Eating Disorders are extraordinarily complex illnesses that present with abnormalities in physical and psychological functioning. The physical complications have the potential to cause permanent damage and in some cases are life threatening. The causes are complex and multi-factorial, including genetic, neurodevelopmental and environmental influences. They require a comprehensive treatment programme including medical, psychiatric, psychological, social, and educational interventions.
Job Outline
You will participate in the leadership of the ward team including delegation of work on a day-to-day basis for junior staff as well as direct supervision of others within the team. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care.
We treat children aged 8 to 18, and in separate adult wards, young people aged 18 to 25. We have a high staff to patient ratio and wherever you work, you will be well supported by a helpful staff team. We work closely with NHS Case Managers.
The post holder will ensure that all centre guidelines; policies and procedures are always adhered to.
