Initial Review Health Professional - An exciting new role within IAS
Job Type: Full and part time
You'll be responsible for reviewing the cases of people with health conditions and disabilities who have made a claim for Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Using your clinical expertise, you'll analyse a claimant's information and make sure the case is routed to the right place. You'll liaise with medical teams involved with a person's care, for example GPs, community psychiatric nurses, specialist nurses or social care teams.
You'll do things like:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the flow of cases
- Independently review clinical evidence to support our health professionals and make sure they have everything they need to carry out a fair and accurate consultation and/or report
- Treat everyone with professionalism and respect, making a real difference to each claimant's experience during this process.
How is this different to a health professional role?
- No consultations
- No report writing
- Based in the clinical back office team
- Shorter training period.
