On 1st February 2021 the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals became part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust – a truly once-in a generation development. Hours per week: 18.75 Hours – Part-time (0.5 WTE)

The ICC Nursing team is looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and inquisitive paediatric trained nurse to not only explore the role of a Clinical Nurse Specialist but the exciting area of genomic healthcare.

This is a unique and new opening, for an experienced cardiac nurse who will be expected to support and work closely with children and their families affected or at risk of aortopathies. The post offers excellent opportunities to further develop advanced cardiac nursing skills, in addition to trigger-rescue work, sudden cardiac death risk stratification, device & surgical therapies, counselling, transition, family screening and genomic healthcare.

Formal and informal teaching, developing autonomous practice, service development, and nurse-led clinical care and research will be encouraged.

Whether you are an existing band 7 nurse interested in ICC’s or a senior band 6 nurse wanting to progress, the opportunities this post offers are endless.
