Job Details
On 1st February 2021 the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals became part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust – a truly once-in a generation development. Together, we are taking our first steps towards our vision of creating a brand-new centre of excellence, which will be the global leader in the research into and treatment of heart and lung disease in patients from pre-birth to old age. We are developing some exciting plans and we want you to join us – so come and help to change the shape of healthcare for our heart and lung patients world-wide.
Hours per week: 18.75 Hours – Part-time (0.5 WTE)
The ICC Nursing team is looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and inquisitive paediatric trained nurse to not only explore the role of a Clinical Nurse Specialist but the exciting area of genomic healthcare.
This is a unique and new opening, for an experienced cardiac nurse who will be expected to support and work closely with children and their families affected or at risk of aortopathies. The post offers excellent opportunities to further develop advanced cardiac nursing skills, in addition to trigger-rescue work, sudden cardiac death risk stratification, device & surgical therapies, counselling, transition, family screening and genomic healthcare.
Formal and informal teaching, developing autonomous practice, service development, and nurse-led clinical care and research will be encouraged.

Previous experience working within cardiology is essential (see job description).
